Fifth Grade Art Class

In the fifth grade students continue to expand on their abilities to draw from life. They also continue exploring the elements of art (line, shape, color, texture, value, form, and space). Additionally, students begin exploring principles of composition, and making informed choices about constructing a visual image. Students will also explore historical movements in art, both in the U.S., and around the world.

Fifth graders also have the opportunity to explore ceramics, as well as continuing to draw, paint and create digital imagery using a variety of apps on the iPad.
