Welcome!

My name is Valerie Mantle, and I have been teaching art at Idaho Arts Charter School for twelve years now. As our school has evolved, my work at the school has continued to evolve as well. I now teach 3/4th grade and 5th/6th grade art classes as well as a variety of middle school art classes and high school ceramics.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in visual art and biology from The College of Idaho and a Master of Arts in Teaching from The University of Idaho. I am certified to teach all subjects K-8 and to teach visual art K-12. Aside from teaching, I strive to continue making art myself as much as I can, and continue to study art as well. My husband and I have one son, Jacob. He is a graduate of Idaho Arts Charter School and is pursuing his love of music in his college studies. We love to listen to live music, being outdoors, and travelling together whenever we can.
